The RDS (Royal Dublin Society)

The RDS (Royal Dublin Society) is one of Ireland’s most historic and versatile venues, hosting a wide range of international exhibitions, conferences, concerts, sporting events, and cultural gatherings throughout the year. Located in Ballsbridge, Dublin, the RDS has been at the heart of Irish social and cultural life for nearly three centuries.

Founded in 1731, the Royal Dublin Society was established to promote agriculture, arts, science, and industry in Ireland. Over time, its campus evolved into one of Dublin’s leading event spaces, combining historic architecture with modern facilities.

The RDS is perhaps best known for hosting the Dublin Horse Show, one of Ireland’s most prestigious equestrian events, attracting visitors from around the world. It is also home to Leinster Rugby matches, major trade exhibitions, business conferences, music concerts, and large-scale public events.

With multiple exhibition halls, conference spaces, and the RDS Arena, the venue plays a central role in Dublin’s sporting, commercial, and cultural calendar. Its long-standing reputation, central location, and variety of events make it an important destination for visitors to the city.

Whether attending a major exhibition, a live sporting event, or an international concert, the RDS continues to be one of Dublin’s most dynamic and historic venues.
