W.A.S.P. is an American heavy metal band formed in 1982 in Los Angeles, California. The band is known for its provocative lyrics, theatrical live performances, and a sound that blends elements of glam and heavy metal.
Band members include: Blackie Lawless – lead vocals, rhythm guitar, keyboards, percussion (1982–present), Doug Blair – lead guitar, backing vocals (2006–present; touring 1992 and 2001),Mike Duda – bass, backing vocals (1995–present) and Aquiles Priester – drums (2017–present)
In 2025, W.A.S.P. will embark on the "Album One Alive World Tour" in Europe, performing their entire debut album live. They are also scheduled to appear at the Leyendas del Rock festival in Villena, Spain, where they will deliver a setlist featuring classics like "I Wanna Be Somebody," "Love Machine," and "Blind in Texas."
