Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo

30th April and 1st May 2026

Prepare for an evening of sublime technique wrapped in side-splitting comedy as Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo (affectionately known as “The Trocks”) arrive in Dublin on 30 April & 1 May 2026 at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre.

This all-male comic ballet company brings classical repertoire—think swans, sylphs and grand pas de deux—but with a twist: every role is danced by men, often en travesti, combining athletic mastery and flawless technique with tongue-in-cheek humour.
Expect sumptuous tutus, exaggerated pirouettes, theatrical eyebrow raises and brilliant comic timing. One reviewer called them “one of the most unusually gifted dance companies in existence.”

The Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, set in Dublin’s vibrant Docklands, provides the perfect setting for the Trocks’ blend of high art and high jinks. Doors open approximately one hour before curtain, so arrive early and soak up the pre-show buzz around Grand Canal Square. Whether you’re a ballet devotee or just looking for something joyfully different, this is a must-see event on the 2026 calendar.
